Sod Patcher connecting me to Live

I'm setting up SoD on another computer. I initially tried to install the game via the Live website. After installing I downloaded and ran the SoD patcher, and it connected me to what appeared to be live. There was a fancy looking EULA and then a menu with a werewolf. It won't accept any login infos however, Live info or SoD info. Also, its not the same as when you connect to Live nowadays through your station account and the fancy looking patcher. Its some sort of EQ twilight zone.

So I thought it was related to installing the game throught the Live website, so I got my hands on a copy of Titanium. Uninstalled everything and did a clean install of Titanium. Downloaded a fresh SoD patcher and still the same problem.

Then I copied the eqhost.txt file from my computer that runs SoD to this one, still no help.

TL;DR - When I run SoD patcher it doesn't connect me to the right place what do I do?

First thoughts would be to make sure you are directing the patchier to the correct game launcher and to also tick repatch all. I know earlier I installed the steam f2p game to update client and I bedecked a repatch all to get eqw back. Best bet for actual troubleshooting is the irc. Usually a Dev or 3 are in there for live troubleshooting.

Fixed as of 10 minutes ago! I ticked repatch all and moved EverQuest.exe out of the main EQ directory into one of the other folders just cause. See you all in game stay buffed!

Peace

Congrats on getting it working. Always annoying when something unexpected goes wrong.

I made a fresh install, starting from the launchpad from Company and then using SoD's patcher. Just using "Patch and Run" resulted in a shockingly quick patching process that gave me the same issues as the OP. Then I went back and used "Repatch All", which resulted in a much larger amount of patching. Then I had no problems logging in.

Suggestion: have new installers repatch all the first time they try to get into SoD.

I experienced the same thing when I tried reinstalling. Didn't think anything of it until I read this thread, thought I just did something wrong initially.

Just wanted to echo support for the above suggestion.

Ya know what else it is, if you don't use EQW it only asks you to specify a directory but when you do tick EQW it asks you to select eqgame.exe, so use EQW the first time at least always! I think thats what actually solved it for me

Now, I am having this problem as well. While the patcher thinks I cannot connect to shardsofdalaya.com, I am able to go to that website. I get repatching errors but with "patch and run", I am able to load Everquest. However, this happens to be the original game with the werewolf login screen and not Shards of Dalaya. Considering the patcher cannot connect to shardsofdalaya.com, I cannot "repatch all"! Halp!
