Snare Aggro

I'm posting to request that the snare line of spells (ensnare and tangling weeds in particular) generate aggro even on mobs that are unsnarable (if possible). It is the primary means of Ranger snap aggro, and it hurts us that we lose this method of aggro on mobs that are unsnarable. This is all, thank you :)

Crowl back under your stone, ok? :D

/agree, at least for TW it would be very nice, as it allways used to be our quick aggro grabber. Would be a simple way for Pally stun/blind, too. :

It is the primary means of Ranger snap aggro,
From what i know landing a debuff on a mob that have this debuff will generate a small amount of agro, changing mobs so that even when the mob is immune you get the agro of a full spell will change encounters.

You are correct in that re-applying the debuff before it has expired generates very little aggro. But first application and casting again after it has expired will both give full aggro if not resisted. Also, Tangling Weeds and Flame Lick both have relatively short duration. They are both pretty useless for anything BUT quick aggro. As for changing encounters if they yielded full aggro on a full resist, that is possible and would have to be considered.

I think we may be on different pages here. From what I understand of your post (I may be reading it wrong), you think I am asking that we be able to gain full aggro from recasts of the same spell (without it wearing off) - i.e. casting ensnare on a mob, having it land, and then casting it again 2 seconds later (before it wears off) for extra aggro. This is not what I am asking for. I am referring to mobs which are flagged unsnarable (armor guys in PoA, some nameds, etc) where casting snare on them pretty much does nothing (doesnt land, and gives a message that the mob is unsnarable). I just hope that tangling weeds (and perhaps other snares) gives aggro even if a mob is unsnarable; not necessarily full aggro every time, but I'm sure theres a way to do a resist check etc even though the actual spell wont ever land.

I'd like to add that Rangers are at the very least light-tanks (we are one of the few that get a *lol* 'Taunt' button), and most other classes have viable means of generating snap aggro on any mob (Warrior gloves / AA's / AE Taunt, SK's aggro spells / AA's, Pally's blinds/stuns, Monk's Tiger Claw, etc).
