slow agro?

It seems recently slow agro has been just massive. Slow a mob and it's on you for 30 seconds.. heal yourself once while it's on you and add another 10, anyone else noticed this? Is it working as intended? I'm not being an idiot or anything about it, like slowing early, or anything.. heh, not even debuffing.

Mez agro works the same way currently too. Cast 1 mez on something, and its pretty much guaranteed to be on you for the rest of the fight unless you root it or someone lands a successful taunt.

It's definitely a drag, but I believe it's deliberate. I used to be able to slow on pull (I always pull with Cease), but now Cease + Desist still loses aggro to a level 29 slow. Kinda silly.

I still play my SK (47 now) and I have no problem holding agro against anyone when I cast one agro spell. No problems here.

The only major change is that you now need to let the tank build up a little aggro before debuffing, it's really that simple. I can slow at 92% with no fear of aggro at all, wait another 10% and I can debuff, DoT, nuke, whatever, with no fear of aggro.

I haven't witnessed anything that would suggest aggro is currently broken, and it is my personal opinion that people are just too used to how aggro was working before the recent changes.

No problem low 40s

My main groupage is low 40s with a War, Clr, Ench, and Dru, and I'm not seeing the problems being described. The Ench will pick up aggro for a second or two after a mez, but the War is easily able to get it off quickly. She almost never picks up aggro slowing. The cleric almost never picks up aggro unless he has to heal before the Ench has any loose mobs mezed. The most problems the War has with aggro is when the druid is overnuking.

Only my experience at low 40s, but it doesn't seem broken to me...

Yeah, I'm having slightly problems with my warrior, but I don't have a very good hate proc'ing weapon. Also, my DPS is quite horrible, so it's not difficult at all to peel agro from me.

To be honest, if you're not noticing the change, you were slowing later than you could have been before. On the bright side now that the change is here you're the ones not getting face-stabbed by the mobs :)

Well, I don't know how it was coded, exactly, but it could be the greater % the slow is, the more agro. I'm level 65.. not low 40s, and I'm slowing at 80% sometimes and pulling agro on 300+ hitters. No one can heal me fast enough with my gear before I'll die, so I have to self heal.. which results in chain spam heals, and often death.

It's impossible to give a certain %, because the group or raids DPS will determine that, and I haven't physically clocked it, so.. No spell casting subtlety hurts, too, heh.

Please don't post that 'I am fine,' or 'I haven't noticed any changes,' just to sound tough, please.

edit: noticed that about mez, too. Encs on raids are really having a tough time, at points, but atleast someone can stand there and taunt a mezzed mob a few times before engaging.

Concurrance. I started slowing higher level mobs at or under 90 % or else poor little Kambing's life comes to a crashing halt.

That is why we play from America Ramblo! hehe :911:
you do bring up a very good point though
