Skipping the dream

Would it be possible to add an NPC or some dialog option that allows you to skip the dream... it's great for a new player to SoD but running through it for the hundredth time kind of sucks.
 
it really only becomes a problem if you are starting a character at level 1 frequently (hc mode anyone)
 
Hmm... interesting. I suppose you'd still want to get the Mysterious Summons, but anyone using a skip of The Dream would be able to do without the other items you get. Hand to Hand at level 1 is sufficient, and you can get a "of the learner" item at level 2 and/or buy a weapon from those basic weapon vendors near blacksmiths.

skipping the dream will also cause you to miss a "possible" deity spec hit at "the choice" but that only matters if you plan to be top tier min maxer type of player or who u plan to swear to ect.
 
The original version had you also skipping the lawful/chaotic hit from The Last and the weapons/bag/food/water/bandages/tunic/books... everything but the Mysterious Summons.
 
Is the faction hit going to make or break a character? I remember reading something about factions being extremely delicate here.
 
Thank you for the quick response. I have a Necromancer and was trying to figure out which path to take and accidently made a few slip ups last week.

Years ago, there were very few chances for alignment adjustment. There's been a lot added in the last few years.
