Skill-Up Racial Restrictions

I don't post much, in fact, I think this may be my 1st post ever, but I do play on your server.

And I have to say, good job.

There is one thing, however, that I don't understand: skill-up restrictions.

Now, I've been playing a troll warrior, and it's been excessively tedious to raise my weapon skills. For another class, it may seem of little consequence, but for a warrior, skills are everything.

Currently, I'm at about half of what my skills should be. While not completely crippling to gameplay, I'm quickly finding myself unable to do anything.

Now, I know you want an emphasis on grouping, but with the amount of people on the server at lower levels, it's just not possible.

So I ask, nay... BEG for the skill-up restrictions to be removed.

(You can keep the XP restrictions... in fact... I think leveling is too easy as it is.)

I've been told that there are no racial restrictions in place as of yet for anything. They're still broken.

However I have noticed similar things with my Iksar Monk. *shrug* I do know that for the Barb Warrior I had it was a bit of a challenge to keep up since I was leveling faster than I could skill up, but after I hit the high teens that quit being an issue.....
 
Well, if that's the issue, maybe a quick look at the skill-ups formulas?

Or if you want, have me do it.

Just seems that each character I've created has had a very hard time skilling up. Not just my Trollie.
 
Skills tend to raise a lot faster once the skill itself reaches ~50. I had this same problem with my ranger. 1h Blunt (0) at level 60 was not funny... it took a couple of days of constantly using it (and this was with haste, mind you) to get it to a level where it was efficient. :p

After your skill reaches 50, though, it's usually smooth sailing.
 
I'm not seeing the "smooth sailing" aspect till things get up around 100 to 125... after that it's pretty easy to keep them up.

Of course Dual Wield, Double Attack and Offense never had a problem at all with instantly maxing out. Same with Sense heading once I got it over 40 or so....
