3 out of 4 kills the corpses are unlootable on these (says something about not being in range etc.) - the spawnrate on them is pretty low already, so if you dont wanna keep this an even smaller bottleneck than it already is, please look into it.

I have found that if they are on a slope or hill you will continue to have the problem.
If so pull the griffins back onto the flat areas.
Once i figured that out, i never had a problem looting the corpses.
 
Also be aware that it is not required to do this quest, you can get the highest SC aug without finishing it.
 
well, pulling them to the flat doesnt work most of the time for me. TBH the "lootable corpse rate" in the flat is about as high as in the slope for me (hence my post)
Im well aware there is other ways to get the highest SC aug. But this isnt about me getting the SC aug. Its about bugged corpses ;) (and i already got 17 of 20 quality meats anyway)
 
I think you get this message when the corpse gets caught somewhere in the z-axis that is not in range of the PC. I THINK you can petition to have the item reimbursed if you catch a GM quick enough.
