So i get banned because people jump to conclusions, while i restated my defintion of the word many times, and yet they still think otherwise. Even though i used a book defintion, i guess people making up their own defintions are more reliable, ill remember that.

Anyways, the thought had occured to me that GMs would help their guild, but then i thought about. What are they gaining by this? Why not make a non-legit server if they would abuse their powers? I knew this wasn't the case, hence the choosing of "favoritism" instead of "abuse" and yet i still got banned when i was so blatenly right, and i ask melwin post the log, since i forgot to save it.

Oh, and anyways, my ban is just an example of favoritism, i get banned because i had an unfair disadvantage in presenting my case to Wiz because i had no chance since he knows melwin over me.

Prior to this part of the log there was a lot of battle spam and I'm too lazy to clean it up. Essentially, Keeb/Searyx here decided it'd be cool and funny to say GMs favor the people in the guild most of us are in (GOTW). I told him, like I've told several people before, that if he kept this up, he would be banned. He decided he shouldn't be banned and should be allowed to keep talking about how GMs are corrupt, but as he found out, that's not his decision to make.

Here's the part of the log that I did bother to clean up, though. I've nothing to hide.

I hope this sends out a warning to the rest of you guys who think we're cheating and everyone should hear your suspicions. We will not tolerate it unless you have proof.

By the by, Keeb has also been IP banned from the forums, so he won't be able to respond to this, but everyone else can take a good look.

Thats just laughable, and speaking of laughing.

I think sean and wizy (and others) take pride and joy of creating a new boss mob, giving it some nasty AE and not telling anyone about it.

And you know what else is great? When you petition on WR you usually get a response 100000x faster than you would on live. These gms also have a good sense of adventure and actually do their own GM events on random people and groups.

Everyone whos played here should have played on live. And if you think the GMs here are bad compared to live. Your a fucking moron! :mad:

I personally only have had good experience with GMs in WR (specially Dujek, Limnyu (sp?) and Melwin; thanks again guys); they been kind, helpful, respectful and sincere. I am also in GotW, and so far I have not seen favoritism or abuse on their parts; quite the contrary I might say.

I do not know why people take time from their enjoying the server to accuse a GM of cheating, I mean, reading through this I can gather he was “trying” to get banned, because even if he were right, what was the purpose of arguing with a GM… get a clue for Pete’s sake.

Coming from your average GoTW member, i can attest that there is absolutely no blatant Abuse of power. Ive been in GoTW since 0.4 when GoTW was the only guild on the Server and 25 people max were on the server at peak times. I did not see any uber twinks running around, when raiding, #gm commands were not used to weaken the experience for us. Hell, it took us I believe 3 weeks to finally complete the first Trial in ToT. There are no free summons, your late, you run. There are not any items being handed out unless it’s a refund. (I've been working on my epic for the past couple months, and Every Item was earned)

Concerning petitions and such, these are the best bunch of people be around when your having problems. They are swift, nice and most importantly, helpful. Because I am GoTW, do the GM's treat me better? No, here is one example: I once sent a rather lengthy petition to Dujek via /tell hoping to get a character recreate. I was promptly torn a new asshole, and have used nothing but petition for my petitioning needs since then. I was treated like any other person would have been treated if they had sent a Long tell to a GM Char that was meant to be a petition.

Finally, if WR GM's are so abusive and power hungry, why isn’t every GM play character fully decked out with the best of the best gear? Take a look at Wizzy's Play character, Zerek. One would think that because Wizzy owns the Server, that he would pat himself on the back for creating a great thing, and summon himself all the best gear. Now, Look at Wanelo, yep, nice gear, good INT, good mana... wait... wow... Soft leather bracer!! So, why doesn’t Wizzy summon better gear for himself? After all, he is the owner; he can do whatever the fuck he wants to. He doesn’t because he:

A). Has integrity
B). Cares about the hard work he puts into this server.
C). He is going to get greater satisfaction knowing he attained that gear legitimately by accomplishing goals that he set up to be conquered.

Now, does anyone think that Wizzy is going to put people in command that do not share the same values and passion he does about this Server?........Wizzy isnt going to let his Server turn to shit. I for one love this Server, and respect how the owners and managers run it.



With all that said, Melwin and Wizzy are still assholes and that can't be changed…. But, let’s just try to have some fun, ok? :)

Like.. there were several GMs playing in guilds on the EQLive test server. So what the heck is that crap talk about? ;)

Also. He apparently couldn't imagine how it is to interrupt exp groups and shit sometimes because there's a petition needing to be answered, or simply how it is to sit on your ass for 4 hours of day answering them sometimes without getting paid or anything.

We're all working on the server in some way and deserve to play like anyone else. Now I have also included the only purpose I would use my GM powers for. To remburse and help out if there's anyone who's got an issue needing to be solved. I was never a fan of godmode in Quake or idkfa in Doom2 :p
 
all ive seen on this server is GM's using their powere when need be, to solve problems. or to enforce the rules. ive never seen ANY of them using their power to assist guildies...as for favoritism...who doesnt show favoritism towards their guild? thats what your guild is lol a group of your favorite people. what would be the point though of having the guild if the GM's WERE in fact using their powers to beef up the guild? if every guildy got the best armor/weaps when they joined, what the hell would be the point in raiding for new stuff?
