To browse the current UI list goto http://thirdelement.com/sod/

If you want to share your UI but do not have hosting at all you can upload a screenshot of the UI and a ZIP'ed folder containing all of the files at http://thirdelement.com/uploader/. Please name your UI ZIP and Screenshot the same name so its easy for people to find the corresponding files.

I thought with the downtime it might be useful to put together a list of UI's which have been modified to place nice with SoD. If there is interest in doing something like this I can provide an index/hosting for the files.

To start off I'll post an old screen shot of mine (2 years but still the same), a link to the download will be up after the server comes back online because I need to fix a couple bugs that I've been meaning to take care of. There is also a melee version of this which adds a small scroll to the right of the group window which shows only damage done/taken by your character.

Click picture for large version

The change in the melee looks something like this, i'll try to get a better screenshot of it when the server is back online:

Download the UI <--- Click there

Installation instructions are still inside the zip. I still have a couple bugs to fix in order to make it run perfect with SoD but can't test it right now. Expect an update sometime tomorrow.

You load them into your uifiles directory. When the server comes back online and I fix the bug in my UI that I've just been ignoring I'll post a zip file with instructions.

This looks like the Drakahmix UI file I used back in EQLive days....its good stuff. You have a site for the file download?

Edit: Sorry, im an idiot. Didn't read the above post...

Here is a few pieces I use in my game... I would have included my Hotkeys window, but I have it at 75 transparency so you really can't see it.

But the windows below are (my apologies for the blurriness, I had to shrink it):
Inventory
Small Loot window (without bulky side bars - inventory bags are the same)
Compass
MP3 player
Player (which has Hps, fatigue, mana, XPs, AA XPs)
Long named target window (long enough to accommodate long named mobs)
Spellbar (with new icons)

Is an inverted version of the Original Quartz release that I have been maintain the changes on and added a few of my own since this was taken back in Dec 2002 in HoT. Sorry don't have any pic's more recent atm.

Send me a PM gorgetrapper and I'll try to help you out.

Also if anyone has a full UI that they would like to post and share with others I have setup a place where you can upload the files to and link off of.

Try to include the ini files and a quick 'how to set this up' in your zip so others can figure it out quick enough.

If most people don't know how to do this, I can get a guide up later on.

Since my post about Pet windows wasn't answered, maybe here would be a better place to ask :
can you change the functions of the buttons in pet window (like making Taunt like sit/stand , cause by now the petcan only be forced not to taunt with the "/pet taunt off" or "/pet notaunt" commands) and can you add more buttons somehow (like a "/pet report" or "/pet health" function) ? Looks useless but I'm fed up making hotkeys for this and that, I would spend time doing so if it's indeed possible (already tried editing the petinfo xml file in "uifiles" directory without success).

Thanks by advance

Hey Tarrax thats a great looking Beastlord Ui, is it something you customized yourself? And is there anyway I could get my hands on it, it would be great for my Beastlord.

I wish I created it... The inventory, spellbar, and MP3 player was made by the wonderful artist T. King, and the inventory portrait was done by arkusrex at EQInterface.

Tarrax .. If ya wanna zip and post it you can add it as an attachment on the Beastboards if ya like.

how do you guys pick and choose pieces of different UI's? this was probly just dumness (i have no idea how XML works) but i tried overwreiting the target window file from one UI with that of another, and my client crashes, so i guess there is more to it?

No, you have the right idea, but wrong execution...

First you need to make a custom UI folder within the UIFiles folder.
After you name it (with no spaces), you place the files of the UI pieces you want to use in it.
Then in game you load the folder that you made of the UI you want to use. For example: You named the folder Wizard, then in the game you would load the Wizard folder.

You never overwrite the files in the Default folder, otherwise your game will crash. The default is your one and only backup in case your custom UI doesn't work properly, and this way you can still play.
