shaman starfall - help!

Hello,

what items do i need for the both starfalls?

#1:
I got the blade of sorrow from Kaladim,
Got the essence of liodreth tamers - Beastial essence

Now i need "Spiritual Ointment" from the Kiwisal in the cauldron of dawn. Been camping that whole zone for a loooong time and only seen a few duskstones drop. Is that drop broken or? :?

#2:
Blackstone gem from the gargoyles..
Spores of a sleeper mushroom - what item? I got "blue spores" from the frogs in miel a. Is that the right item?

The kiwisal havent dropped that Spiritual Ointment in well over 100 kills. :mad:
Any help would be most welcome.

#2 is doable, you need sleeper spores from the mushroom farming frogloks and the other items..
 
Im giving up, there is no such drop as the quest sais. A week of camping for a lvl 35 quest thing is too much. :mad: :(
 
Maybe it's just really bad luck. When I did my chanter starfall quests, I took me well over a week of leveling in Paw to finally get my Cat Idol. I almost swore that the drop was broken as well, but then it finally dropped and my relief was huge.
 
I've been there for 10 full levels, seen zero drops. Also noone else is doing this quest, becouse its ridiculously rare. I'll camp them for a few more levels. I hope i get it:(
 
Well, not any more. All green now to me at 42. And i started there at like 25... Its a nice weapon, but what are the odds of me actually getting that last piece? Well, i killed like 300 monsters there - so 1:300 or more, which is pretty much insane. :mad:
 
Well, im giving up. There is just no point in going after something so rare. If someone gets it, please post it here how. Good luck to you!

I spent several hours clearing every one of the goblins I could find there as well, way back when. I decided it wasn't worth it and gave up. Especially when I found out you can get a waaaay better spear (Dragonspine Spear, check Hasrett's Wanelo in my sig) for around 500-800pp.

The Pally Starfall shield is also pretty lacking. The cleanse effect is pretty cool, but rarely useful, and at the same level you can quest a shield with 1 more ac, a bunch of sta, and more hp. It's only lacking the mana, but 20 or 25 mana isn't that huge a loss.

What I would like to get is the shaman starfall earring. With 2boxing a shaman and paladin I run into quite a few fights where it's not all that worthwhile to slow; if I could get a fast manaless slow it would be very nice. I just haven't stirred my stump to go and get it yet =)
 
The thing is, that spear from the starfall goes into range slot, which makes it nice - but definetly not worth that much trouble. The earring is great, basically free slow.
 
The ointment drops from a named kiwisal, it's possible the spawn for it was broken.
 
If there is only 1 named in cauldron, its the "Prelak the Dawn Caller". He drops ususally some necklace with low stats, a brass instrument "Horn of the Morning Call", and that trident of his and of course random smaller loot. Killed him 30 times now, still no ointment.
 
GOT IT:D

The ointment dropped from a never before seen mob - a kiwisal blesser. It spawns where a plaguewind gnoll used to be. Very easy to kill, dropped the ointment the first time i killed it. And now, im a proud owner of: The spiritists athame :D Finally, i feel so relieved, i almost wet myself :D

Where does he spawn? I'd like to relieve him of that horn. ;)

He spawns on the SE side of the zone in a tent on the left side. He is a rare spawn & that horn is a rare drop. Good luck :)
