Shaman Specialization

Hello, and let me say that playing on this server for my first few days has been great and has helped me and some friends to relive our early MMO days. I was wondering if any Shaman out there have any opinions on allocating specialization points. I am level 6 and have split mine approximately 20% to Blunt/Avoidance and 80% to Energy/. I like to mix it up a little (as did my previous lvl 46 Shaman) and whack things with weapons a bit in my soloing as a rule. Any thoughts or experiences in this area would be appreciated!

Focus/mind would also be great for the mobs will resist your spells less and you'll be consuming less mana.
 
Do what you think fits you (which you have already done). The maximum bonus from specs is usually around 10%, so any percieved mistakes are not game breaking.

The only spec you would definately want to avoid is blade/strike. As tink said, some focus/mind would be good

Yea, ultimately, if you stick with the class, you will be maxing out all the specialization points anyway.
 
Thanks for the info! I just noticed the special boards for class questions, so thanks also for moving the post. I'll look into Focus since I noticed that I get annoyed by resists sometimes. I was not aware that CHA actually means something to all casters, so I'll have to wait for my CHA buff and try that out too.
