Shadowbark Treant

Today a Shadowbark Treant appeared in Shadowdale after killing a corrupted ancient treant, he was db at 65, con indifferently (though I'm kos to treants, corrupted or not) and was protected from my spells (could not engage).

Does anyone know if he's a quest mob or something?
 
Can't tell, since I couldn't see its name anywhere (big treant hiding name). However I haven't seen yet a non-kos adept, and this was indiff.

Anyways, he's not up anymore.
 
I had this happen as well while hunting there. We didn't attept to attack it, and it despawned within minutes. It didn't respond to hails from an ogre beastlord, a wood-elf druid, or a half-elf bard. It was red to 45ish, and also indifferent to all of us.
