Server Population

Greetings

I'm playing SoD a couple years now. On and off.
Some breaks were RL related, some community related. Basically, when i first started my main character there were like 500 people playing at US prime time and even though i played EU prime time, finding groups in all level ranges was a rather easy task.
Today when i log on, i see around 130ish people. Of course, most of the community here is US based so i decided to check out US prime time. 250. Sometimes 300 players.
What happened to the other 200?

Honestly, i think that SoD is the best server out there. No contest. The awesome content, strict GM, the stable economy and lore always drawn me back here.
But usually when you level to 55 (and grind for AA's) or go straight to 65, it gets difficult to progress as an EU guildless player. I could of course apply to the 2 differen EU Guilds like PR or SV, but soloing 100+ AA seems rather boring and tyring.

So yeah....

Personally i think we need more people in the lower end game. Means 55-65 entry level that play.
Not sure how other newer players see this. Im sure the veterans don't care too much about it because they have a guild and are not dependend on other players like i am for example. I'd love to progress above 100 AA, but i also want to progress with a group of people.

What do you (EU Players, New Players) think about it in general?

Population is actually about what is has been this time of year for the last 3-4 years. There is always a lull during holiday season.

A lot of people are home for the holidays. My guild usually has 17 -25 people on and we had 9 last night and 4-6 during the day.

Welcome back to sod btw. :)

Yes, welcome back. Look me up when you are on, Always up for company while I xp/farm. And yeah, it's lulled atm with the holidays. People are out shopping, or with family, etc. It Will pick-up again in January.

id probably play more but no one likes me anyways. I forced myself to log on last Thursday :/

But yes, SoD is the best EQ 1 server out there. GMs are very good and helpful, many players are nice, fun new content. If you were trying to break into the old days of EQ - SoD is very good.

I played few years ago and came back a couple of months ago after 2 years of being out and for me the population is the same (or even sligthly more).
