Server locked

I have noticed that the server is locked but on thw websote it says it is up. Could anyone tell me if this is just me or what is happening?

In future, please log on to our IRC server and join #sod to check the status of the server if you think it might be down.

Sorry, I will do so in the future, out of curiosity, how often are patches done and how long do they usually take?

Patches are generally fairly quick, though it depends on what all is changing. We don't give out actual ETA's ever though.

edit: I just remembered, some of the times I tried logging in before I knew you were patching the server doesn't show up at all, is this normal?
