Server down time

Does anyone know how long the server is going to be down for ? Yesterday I was on, and then they just said quick server reboot, and it has still be down since.

It'll be up when it's up. If it's anything like my ISP, one of the admins at the server farm probably spilled their bong water on it and they're trying desperately to resurrect it. :)

Actually it did come up at least once for a short time last night around 11:15 EST, but there were major stability problems. Zones were crashing frequently, so they locked it again. Haven't been able to try since.
 
Last night in IRC they said there were big problems with crashing bugs, and reverting back to pre-patch code didn't fix it. So it will be up whenever they can fix that. Either that, or the server has caught on fire and they had to use the bong water to put it out. :)
 
just remember, servers in here are not powered by hamster on a weel that when the hamster dies you have to wait days for sony to go to the pet store and get a new one, or replace that dead hamster by another hamster powering another server. Chances are that they will be back up soon. Anyone that has been playing SoD for a while knows better not to ask for ETA, those that are new to the server read the rules and remember do never ask forETA.
 
i think it's a conspiracy and wiz shut it down to give us our lifes back cause he felt sorry for all us nerds.

This is the best thing that ever happened to me! I got exams to study for and now I can finally get to it! Take ur time guys. :D
 
Its been up for small lengths of time, and then goes down again as bugs are discovered. Once they get them ironed out, the server will be up again. Just have a little patience as they work things out.
