I feel this item needs a boost in its focus effect.

Reason: There are a multitude of venomous channeling items out there, including the thurgadin ring. In order for there to be some obvious benefit to this item aside from its stats, I feel that this item should be boosted to Vile Poisons. There currently aren't many vile poisons items. Also, a vile poisons ranged item drops from extremely difficult maps, which is of slightly higher tier.

That would be pretty nice, but bear in mind in this comparison that poison foci are useful, whereas disease foci are not. So it might not be surprising to find overpowered disease foci items. But still, aren't there decent eternal flame items out there in the tier5-6 range?

I just updated PoFire loot tables and you can get a Eternal Flame item from Dowleh. I wouldnt say he is tier 5 or 6 though.. Possibly low tier 7? If you can kill Jherk and the 2 brothers then you can kill him.

Don't forget about Master of the Gates and Before You Wake... they both drop respectable 4% fire focus items.

Ya, it actually does seem that it is harder to get the 4% poison focus than other elemental foci. Looking at the wiki (which of course may not be complete) there are only 3 vile poison items, 2 of which drop from Grobb Undercity (tier 8ish right?) and 1 from ED maps (tier 6-7 iirc). And actually, only the ED maps item is usable by classes that would really benefit. I guess it just seems a little bit hard for necros and especially shamen to find an upgrade for their poison DoTs.
