Selling price of Mithril Amulets/Sapphire Necklaces, etc.

The selling price for these I believe has gone down I do believe. The merchant is willing to give me 35pp for a mithril amulet (~95pp before?) and 70 for the Necklace. Were these also changed when the gem prices were changed and was it on purpose or by accident?

By "gems" i mean droppable loot that has a high npc vendor sale price but little value to players

while some "gems" have value to players, its the same value as the vendor price

From what understand, and this could be way off, the price change was put into place on 'gems' ( and i mean that in the sense of gems, not items) to help facilitate them being sold to players instead of just vendored.

Or perhaps, the drop rate was increased a bit, so the prices were dropped to compensate this. If this is the case for 'gems' and 'gem items' (jade ring, mithril bracelet etc..) then I can see where the price drop for the items would be needed as well.

However, if it is the previous, I really don't understand the price drop on these items sense they are only vendored and are of no use to players.

Yes, that's what I was getting at. I thought the change to the gems was made so that they would be sold more to players, instead of vendored. I was just wondering of the gem items (useless to players) were collateral damage and whether it was intended or not.

Since their drop rate was more than doubled, their price went down. Perfectly logical.

Okay, sounds good. Sorry, I didn't know the drop rate was doubled on the cash items as well. Thanks for the response.

Just one point, and a nitpicky one at that...
The rates were doubled in general, but not across the board. Specifically, the hands in lasanth always drop one ring, which is now worth half as much. Granted this is only one mob, and I think 6 to 8 of them spawn, and the loot is still decent, but the value of their loot has been cut in half with this change.

Perhaps they could be changed to drop 2 rings instead of one now?

Again, this is very nitpicky and not affecting my enjoyment of the game, but it seems an unintended side effect of the changes.[/quote]
