Scoutmaster Forond's quests - Part I

Frilahk Broodling Scales are a very low drop rate, from a very rare spawn. This is highly frustrating for the first in a chain of newbie quests. My personal experience saw 2 broodling scales drop from 20 broodlings over the course of a 5 hour play session.

Recommendation: Bump broodling scale drop rate up, and either add broodlings to the shared spawn list, or, if they are already on it, increase their percentile chance to come up on the list.

Could also just give some of the other low-lvl Frilahk a chance to drop broodling scales.

The high quality bear hides for that quest line could stand to have drop rates bumped as well -- I did it as a nearly naked newb and only finished it well after things had stopped giving me exp, those hides being the main thing that I had trouble getting.
