Hi All,
First off, I just want to thank you for allowing poor folk such as myself who grew tired of EQLive to play on your server. Not that anyone is asking, but for me, I just didn't have time to commit hours and hours to accomplish very minor things. Let alone try and find a good group in a short period of time.
I've been reading the boards for a while and it appears that there's a good group of people playing. Of course, my gaming time comes after the kids are in bed and my wife is watching something I have absolutely no interest in, so I'll probably never reach the level to actually play along side very many of you. It still nice to be able to kick around EQ again after a few years off.
I was just curious if anyone was willing to divulge the specs on the server. I am by no means a programmer an have no plans on running an EQ Emu server, but I'm a sys admin by trade and get all geeked up when talking PC/server specs. Are you running off Windows/Linux/Unix? Is it all on one box or do you load balance between several? what about hardware?
Well that's all for me (at least for now). I look forward to seeing you in game.
