Sam Bloodcurtis.. casting invis to kill pets?????

Kirin Folken

Dalayan Elder
Was working onthe Newport Ring II quest with a alt yesterday. Imagine my surpises when Sam casted Invis on my beastlord.....

Poof... no Pet sam contiunes to beat on me.

Ok... I said.. and recast Pet

Sam cast Invis again..

Poof no pet.. again
now I can't recast due to time limits of pet recast.

Luckly a as a beast lord I was able to beat down Sam even without my pet (The easy fight suddenly turned a bit deadly)

Is this really intended? Considering players can't cast Invis on each other unless in a group this seems rather.. well BS that a NPC can hit a pet class with invis to instantly kill there pet. If I had been lower level or a magican/necro I would have been very very unhappy. (though at least a necro could FD)

I have not seen anything in the game so far that can cast invis, and dont recall sam being able to cast invis the last time I went throw doing the quest with my shaman (who has a pet). So seems something has changed with sam.

Only person that would be mad is mage's so feel free to implement this and make them more pissed off.P

If a raid mob would cast AoE invis then their HP would be tuned to not count in pet dps, so their would be no reason whatsoever to be mad. There are already a copple mobs that favour not having any pets.

Sounds like a bug. I've done the ring series many, many times, and never had this happen. Maybe spells got switched in the DB again...

OMG, he must be using macroquest! He's hacking his way into your group to get the spell to land!

(I don't know whether I think it's messed up or somewhat hilarious)

Err, this is a very, very, very old mistake in the ability field for the npc. This was fixed a ridiculously long time ago - I have no idea how this got reverted but I'll see about getting it fixed.
