Running EQ in widescreen resolution?

Is it possible to run EQ in a widescreen (1280x800) resolution? I'm unable to select it as an option in in game the options.
 
Personally I tried 1400*900 (16/10) on an uber laptop, and it looked great - except the wifi that made the game crash. I'm pretty sure you can set this 1280*800 (same ratio !) in the display options in-game, and even set your refresh rate. Otherwise maybe your card doesnt support or( doubtly) it detects your screen might not be able to do it.
 
Well, I'm talking about a laptop that runs natively 1280x800, but I don't see it in the list of possible resolutions. Is there a way to force it in an *.ini or config file somewhere?
 
When you're logged into the game, running around having a smashing time; Hit Alt-O, then click the Display tab, then click the Video Modes button. Shazaam!
