Runes of Healing

I'm not sure if this has been discussed much in the past (wasn't able to find anything) but it seems like there is a lack of items with runes of healing focus effects. All I know of is Shield of Freeport and the 200k Charm, both of which are basically moneysinks, although SoF quest is doable. Is this an oversight or intentional? Now with 18 man raids and no Cheals, having this effect is even more important and there aren't any pieces of raid loot that have it that I know of (unless there is something in Thaz).

Edit: Typo

I have done quite fine w/o this effect my entire time playing on SoD. AAs alone should more than suffice and this coming form a druid that has a crappy Cheal that has rarely been memmed. So, while the effect would be nice, it is far from necessary.

Nobody said it was necessary. However, you cant deny that it is now much more important to clerics especially without CHeal.

What about adding this effect to Bazanth, Face of the Leering God (mask drop from Gharon in IP). The clicky on this item doesn't work (faction mod) and would be next to worthless even if it did. And maybe add clr/pal to the classes on it.

Going to disagree with you on this one Nam. This focus effect is fucking money, plain and simple. I had a 200k charm on Podge before Zhak got his 1.2 mil charm and I've missed the extra crit heals like crazy ever since i've sold it.

I'm pretty sure that Wiz doesn't have other items with this effect because he wants this to remain a money sink. If it were on an item it'd be irreplaceable even if there was something better tiers above it.

Does the charm and the SoF stack at all?

I don't think they do. As far as I know SoF is 5% crit chance, the charm is 10%, according to a thread from about 6 months ago.

I do agree that this effect is kind of lacking in the high end. Having it on Cherish would make sense, but would make them stupidly uber :p Hum, er, I dont know :/ How about on conscience? :p

maybe it is supposed to be super rare and hard to replace, because it is so good

and it is NOT necessary

Obviously its not necessary....in fact its not a big deal for clerics, but its definitely more important for druids and shamans, who often don't heal a tank to full with their relic heals. I'm just bringing up the fact that the ONLY source of this effect is from moneysinks (or a massive timesink quest that a level 65 group can do), and not from any raid loot. Is this a problem? Not necessarily, I just wanted to make sure this isn't being overlooked.

I'm curious if searfire stacks with the effect on the 200k caster charm? It would be pretty nice of mages could summon and item that would increase crit % for heals, but I don't know if this is getting unbalanced or something.

I would be pretty pissed off if this effect were added to high end items.. If you want the best gear you need to do something outside of raids. Charms are for those people who go the extra mile and farm platinum outside of their normal raid times ( lets face it, most people who have a 36k charm are in a raiding guild ).

I agree with Zhak here (someone shoot me.)

I would be all for the lesser version to go on some more high end quests though, and maybe even on a 100k charm for casters (since there is none atm.)

There is a 100k charm for casters, its just not that much of an upgrade over the 36k charm and thus most people skip it because it lacks healing/nuke focus. Maybe having a 7.5 % or some middle ground healing effect on the healer 100k charm, and some lesser version of the diabolic charm on the int caster 100k charm could be looked into.
