What this forum is NOT for:
We want the PAD forum to be a place where people who do not have the time to devote to becoming a developer can flesh out, get feedback and propose possible additions to the aesthetics and flavor of SoD.
Throughout the history of the game, we have often gotten mail from players who had a flash of inspiration for some interesting newbie quest or lore book. More recently there has been a push for players to edit in game textures to both improve the look of the game and increase the available models and textures for the developers to choose from. It is our hope that this forum will give this sort of innovation a place for peer review and collaboration.
- Creating and discussing new textures for NPCs, items and world objects.
- Discussing and proposing back story and lore to gaps in the current world lore.
- Creating and discussing simple or low to mid level quests that could be added to the game.
- Discussing aesthetics of places and NPCs in the game, and possible improvements that could be made.
- Creating and discussing modifications to the game user interface such as new r updated icons, window layout or default configuration.
- Discussing possible flavor or easter egg ideas. Want to write an in character treatise about some rarefied aspect of the game? The staff loves that sort of thing.
- Writing flavor dialog for non crucial NPCs. Think the guards in Grobb need more personality? Write some good hail lines and spruce them up.
What this forum is NOT for:
- Proposals that fundamentally change the game. These go in S&R.
- Rewrites or proposals to change existing quests, NPCs, events or raid zones. These also go in S&R.
- Rebalancing existing items, spells, tomes, or anything else that has major game balance implications. Again, S&R.
