Ruins of the First City faction

Well I finally got my blacksmithing skill up to 250. Now I am ready to start a Deepmetal bot but can’t seem to do it. I created a toon and pledged him to Sivyana and I am KOS to the mobs just inside of the Ruins of the First City. Then I created a second toon and pledged him to Tarhyl, same problem. I read that other people have been successful. What could I be doing wrong?

The undead at the very entrance are not aligned with any deity, so you need to wait for them to have been killed by a group there I guess. After the undead, everything will be sivyana up to a certain point and you should be able to mine in peace.

I spent the last 3 nights trying different things to figure out how to mine safely.
I had more mining accidents that a Chinese coal mine.
 
Hey! As a chinese coal mine I'll have you know that I stopped wetting the bed months ago.
