Rolling a new char - Stamina???

I'm going to roll a shammy and monk to box. Is stamina the best bet to use my starting points on? I played Game and it seemed like HP were the ultimate stat, does that apply here? Any input will be well received.

For the shaman put points into wisdom and charisma. Charisma here affects how much you are resisted.

Stamina is definitely a very good stat for a monk, and maybe even out agi/dex or something. Stamina is a sure bet though yeah.
 
I would go stamina on the monk, charisma on the shaman. Dexterity and Agility are way easier to max than stamina.
 
If you have your heart set on a human monk, fine, but the iksar AC bonus is pretty nice, especially on a monk. The xp penalty is negligible.

Human monk was for roleplaying (proximity of agnostic monk to Barbarian Shaman), BUT I have a friend that might play and we were talking about me boxing an iksar shaman and monk with him playing an iksar SK. Can iksar wear plate on this version???
 
Who can and cannot wear plate depends on the class. The SK will be able to wear plate. The graphics are the same as on live, and I believe for both the old and new models there are distinct plate and leather textures for iksar armor.

Trust me it's not after a certain point.


Anyways, I'd go Iksar for the monk for the innate AC bonus as well. Pretty huge benefit later on.
