Robe of Enticing Flames and other minor item items thread

You know those little "wait, why is this this way?" things you have about items? This is the thread for those. A nice, lighthearted potpourri thread, half for fixing the items and half for laughs at the zany stuff some of us have. I'll start: I recently got a Robe of Enticing Flames and discovered that it's bright orange and is just about the stupidest looking robe ever. BEHOLD:

It looks so awful that odds are good I'll return it to sender in a few days and/or run around illusioned constantly.

Now it's your turn. What weirdass items have you run across?

Those affliction enhancement IV mittens from the VE tmap are an awesome purple, though. Those with the mountain dew yellow of the Rot-Woven Vest are great!

flames arn't always red, flames can be a lot of colours from white, blue, yellow, orange, and red. also, the robe is not of flames, its enticing flames. followed is the definition of entice taken from dictionary.com

To attract by arousing hope or desire; lure: The promise of higher pay enticed me into the new job. See Synonyms at lure.

one of those is to lure. being bright orange like a cone is enough to attract attention to the robe, which i think is suiting to the name.

That's... not cone orange. Izzn's robe used to be cone orange. It got changed after endless nagging, though.

It's yellow on my Wood Elf. Not a robe, just a yellow leather newb chestplate.

When gnome illusioned it's a pretty green.

The Grey are a class of creatures, so the Grey Shroud can be any color, whereas a grey shroud would be grey :eng101:

An example of this would be the Grey Council from babylon 5 not always employing the color grey.

It was changed? IT USED TO BE WORSE? Holy shit.

Also it's still cone orange--if I took a color sample from the robe and one from a traffic cone and mixed them up, would you be able to tell which was which?

"Flame" spans a big range of color anyway. But I'll put my money where my mouth is--I'ma play with my photoshop filters and see if I can't find an awesomer color for the Sherbert Shmock.

Okay here is an artist's interpretation of what the robe should look like

and if you are wondering that is the crown of wer'zerad on my head i know it is purple and it has the plate helm graphic but with these models on it doesn't look dumb
