As a shaman I recently took up alchemy and got it to max level (110) that you can get from the recipes in the book available at Alchemy traders. When having reached this I went to hunt down Derro Twotoes to find a book with more advanced recipes. However (please correct me if I am wrong) he had no book with alchemy recipes on him.. I did however pick up the book on violet ointments which requires a grandmaster alchemist or brewer for the making... however now it seems it might be hard to reach that level....
So here is a few suggestions on what I would like to see for alchemy, if any of it already excists please tell me so I can keep looking for recipes...
Potion of Rejuvenation
Greater potion of Rejuvenation
Multvan's Master of Meditation
Multvan's Grandmaster of Meditation
Essence of Fungi
Greater Essence of Fungi
Balak's Brain Juice
Balak's Distilled Brain Juice
(I suppose the above are all pretty self explanatory, simply put they are upgrades of the current potions)
As for the recipes of the above I would suggest that the recipes follow the current pattern but that a new ingredient is added (for the greater potions that maybe one ingredient is removed and 2 added), that ingredient should be something that cannot be bought at the alchemist trader but rather items that you would have to hunt down by killing mobs, foraging or fishing. (Fish is supposed to make you smart, right?
)
Also if it is not already implemented I'd like to see certain combinations of ingredients resulting in a "BANG" and some hp loss in order to make experimenting to find recipes more interesting...
I would also like to see some gate potions appear but the recipes for these I wouldnt want available in a book... Rather I would like some gate potion quests to be added for shamans... the quests given by an npc placed somewhere close to where the gate potion would lead should take you hunting all over dalaya to find the different items that he would need in his research. These items should be handed in to the NPC but might be given back if they are to be a part of the potion.
When the quest is finally done I would suggest that the player is given a no drop item that should be needed to create the gate potions. (when combining the ingredients and this item in your medicine bag you should get the gate potion and the item back as a result... the item in question should be a magically imbued object that needs to be kept close to the other ingredients during the making in order to have its effect rub off)
Lastly, Cujos to the idea of the mantle of the forest.... I hope I will be able to get my alchemy skills to a lvl where I can make those violet ointments
