Does the free EQ dl work with SoD or do I need to dig for and pray to find my old platinum discs? Also any old Numinous members still exist out there or have they all thrown in the towel?
 
I heard if you just download the patcher, it downloads all the files you need without disks.

Otherwise you can DL Everquest live, patch, then run SoD patcher and should work fine as well.

Also welcome back Plowdaen, I remember you from long ago!
 
Apparently it should work fine, but I've had some problems with doing the free DL from SoE and windows 8. Still trying to find a solution but will try and post here. It has to do with mss32.dll files and entry point procedures not being found.
 
Windows 8 is 7 with a much more annoying start menu interface. You have to get a third party program to get the old style start menu back :(

Otherwise, seems identical to me.

It keeps force restarting my computer every few days to "finish installing updates", but fails to configure them so reverts. I haven't had the time to find a solution yet.

Other than that and the new dashboard/start menu interface it's alright I guess. Has run smoothly otherwise.
