"Resurrection glitches w/ LD's & Zoning"

I've noticed resurrection bugs if character happens to go LD or Zones while you try to res them. They don't end up getting resurrected and have 100% xp debt, but yet you can't res there corpse either even if just to get them back to your group. It should really be patched and fixed a simple res confirmation window like on live would likely fix the problem since a LD obviously can't click accept and neither can someone zoning and the bug revolves around those two situations.
 
sending a tell works since you can't receive tells while zoning or ld

It's definitely an annoying problem though, would be nice if there could be a client fix.
 
not heard, why doesn't SoD have res accept pop-up?
i am sure it was part of the client well before this ver.
 
Well if it was, I'm sure It'd pop up. I don't think the staff can remove client components via server side commands.
 
i looked it up, it was added before July 19, 2000
7-19 is when they added this
The resurrection confirmation box will now report the name of the
person casting the spell as well as what spell they are casting.
Furthermore, experience will not be "removed" from your corpse until
you accept the resurrection by choosing YES. Previously, any
resurrection spell, if declined, would cause the experience to be
unrecoverable.

I don't know officially but I'd figured that the rez confirmation box isn't in SoD because it's so easy to exploit. Make corpse somewhere, have someone rez it as you go into a raid fight or w/e, let the box float around and click yes for an instant escape.
would it be possible to give them a 20 seconds window? 15? 5? 30? however long is deemed appropriate to avoid the current problem?

Yeah, there was about a 30 second window on Game Live.
 
The box isn't in because we don't have the proper opcode to call it for our client version.
 
Is a work around even possible like a client to client check to see if the persons LD or zoning automatically first and if they were it just postpones res for 10 seconds and then they can try it again or something? It's not really the biggest problem in the world, but it can be sort of annoying when it happens since the person has to either a res or cough up 50p for soul debt to be removed if 65. If it were cheaper to remove soul debt from city healers it'd be slightly less aggravating. Would there be any possibility of lowering the cost to remove soul debts or is that basically set in stone the way it is currently?
