Respawn times

The respawns have undergone a series of changes over the past couple months.

Recently they were changed again, but the description was vague as to what it is now.

Can we get more specific details as to what they are currently at rather than, "they are offset to allow European and American guilds both opportunities?"
 
Once upon a time, the European guilds were a guild of influence on SoD. They were doing well, killing all the raid mobs and prospering. But the American guilds got agitated by that prosperity, complaining that they were hoarding all the raid mobs. Soon enough, they were all like "you gots weapons of mass destruction!!!", kicked the European guilds in the shin, and stole all their oil. So now the American guilds are guzzling all the raid mobs and the European guilds busy killing each other in self preservation. The end.

As for the times, they are now longer and vary for more than half a day and take longer to repop. A whole zone is less likely to repop on the same day, so a whole zone is less likely to be cleared in one day. It keeps a guild from claiming a whole zone with regular exterminations.
 
As far as I know it just added in a variable respawn time of +/- 2 days or something like that, someone with the exact change will have to respond, but it was basically making them not be able to be tracked based off of when /you/ killed it since the respawn time is dynamic.

The spawn timer coding was just changed last week. I do believe before that it was 4.5days with a +/-1 day adjustment.
 
my understanding is its like 4-6 days with a 6 hour variable so that the mobs do NOT keep spawning on Euro time. the 12 hour variable made it so Euro's would always have first shot on any mob (that they could get to) since anytime you would kill a mob at tuesday 9:30 pm pst, it would spawn (for example) saturday at 9:30 am pst. i could be wrong but i think the 6 hour variable is what is there now
 
EDIT: Actually, I decided against explaining the exact mechanics so people won't try to find a way around them.

Suffice to say that the mobs will be shifting through timezones and fighting any attempt to pigeonhole them in one timezone. Average spawn time has not changed.
 
Better that way. And please leave euros killing each other in peace , I tell you it works wonder lately.
 
Seems like the system isn't working all that well. The same guild has gotten on and killed Yashira going on 4 weeks in a row. Their always there when its up, and its always on their (time) spawn cycle. I understand the (new) system hasn't been in that long. But the system still seems to be like it was before. No change and stays on the same timers. If this system was put in to change it so mobs would be more spread out. I'd have to say the system isn't working.. Unless the system is set up to help euro guilds over american ones. With Inner Prison being so contested I don't expect us to be able to get her all the time. But I do have to say it would be nice to actually have a shot at her.
