Resists

Since the patch that changed resists to take more account to resist stats then level of mob ive been gettin lotsa more resists.
Im not sure if this is what it was ment to be like.
Quading is almost impossible now when you always get some full resists and lotsa partial resists. Got no use for AE spells no more.
Been getting repeated full resists on icespear on lotsa mobs, even by low lvl mobs. ie Green and lightblue spiders in CC.
Some mobs have insane resists also, like Spiders in DN(Like 4 of 5 Icespears resisted and 6 Atols to get it snared).
I have about 88 CHA, does CHA make big difference?
So my suggestion is to lower resists generally on exp mobs. With old resist system it felt more ok. Or maybe its just me who think its to high atm =)

ok, ill try get some cha items then =)
A question though. If CHA makes such difference isnt kinda unfair that some Races have Alot better CHA?

Some races get better INT, some get better CHA. It's all balanced out by the fact that decent gear is available to compensate for players lacking in a certain stat. You'll also find that the majority of higher-end INT gear has CHA tagged onto it too, so it shouldn't be too hard to come to a balance.

The question you have to ask yourself is: Do I want to have more mana and get resisted more, or less mana and get resisted less?

CHA

230 cha is just *wee* bit difficult to get.

My chanter, while low level, started out with MAX cha (107). Now granted, that's not uber. Heck, it's not supposed to be at level 13. But he still get's a great deal too many full resists (root, charm, mez, slow, etc). And he still gets way too many partial resists (early break of root, etc). This was when fighting mobs in mistwoods (at earlier levels) and now beginning at first mobs in warrens.

Why should low-level mobsm while not having quite 'insane' resists, still have all-too-high resists? You cannot expect low or mid level chars to have 230 cha.

Perhaps WR staff should check into getting lower MR and other resist stats on low and mid level mobs, or check the resist calcs such that 150+ CHA isn't really *required* before level 35 or so (or thereabouts - you get the idea). 200+ should be needed as you approach 50.

Early break of root != partial resist. Duration of root and such has nothing to do with resists, currently.

It will, eventually.
