Request: hate bot

Can there be a hate bot in game for people to test weapons and relative hate generation? Or does that mob require manual GM presence to keep active?

This would be awesome to have, as i would like to see if some weapon's that i have obtained since last hate contest are even worth using.

that would be cool also. Would also be nice just to have a standardized mob there for comparing DPS combinations.

Arena would be a nice place to house these NPCs. Maybe a few different NPCs, of varying defense. Exp group style monsters, Raid level monsters of varying tiers, etc.

I agree. I do know that staff usually monitors these things when they're put in place, but why not have them as a standard? Would help people decide on gear changes, etc... even if only attackable by a single player or two players, to cut down on abusing them, could be a great help.

Well I dont see why more then 1 person attacking them would be a problem tbh. Unless you're afraid people will kill them? Either way, set HP to several hundred thousand, and HP regen to 50k+ per tick. Instant respawn, 1min respawn, whatever.

I (and many others) tried for years to get a dps test dummy put into towns or the arena or something, to no avail. Instead, people had to track down gimmicky mobs that have very high regen or don't attack back or something similar, and several of these were removed when they became common knowledge because the staff didn't want people to be able to test their dps like this or something. It's completely ridiculous to not have something like this available. It would likely make balancing the game much easier than it currently is too because right now it's dependent on staff testing things themselves or sometimes picking a few players to help, which results in some very large imbalances and oversights. This is just as true for threat as it is for dps.

I would like this too, because DPS or hate improvement when using different weapons is not easy to gauge, but this game is built on very small increments of power, and it would be nice to be able to establish when a item is better than another.
