Im not sure if this has been brought up in the past but i would like someone to look over the stats and the classes the item is meant for.

MAGIC ITEM NO DROP
Slot: LEGS
AC: 21
Effect: Shield of the Storm (Must Wear Clicky, 15.0)
STR: +11 AGI: +4 HP: +55 MANA: +50
SV FIRE: +5 SV DISEASE: +8 SV COLD: +5 SV MAGIC: +5 SV POISON: +8
Weight: 1.5 Size: Large
Class: DRU MNK BST
Race: ALL

Being two differant priest classes using this item, i wonder why our main stat Wisdom isnt attached to this. While im not knocking any of the other stats, i would be hard pressed to wear these for anything other then the right clicky on them. Which is a shame due to the lvl of difficulty and teamwork involved in being able to obtain them. So if you could please give this a thought i would appreciete it greatly. Also if this has already been address in the past and i just missed the post answering this same question, please link it for me

Valid point, actually, though I'm not in a position to redesign other people's items.

does the same thing happen for chain wearers as well? i think some of the initial armor sets have 0 wis for chain.

I'm finding that with a lot of the armour.

The platemail mask (not ornate) is slightly, I say slight, maybe .1% better than Wyvernhide. Also, my Druid only wears the legs (not ornate, either) only due to the fact that nothing else has come my way. Every other piece has been replaced (or not replaced), by Gnollskin and Wyrmhide. I suppose the quest armour is basically free, so it's easier to get than the Wyrmhide.

I have had another issue with the quest armour, and that is that at the level it's gotten, it's almost useless. Rats in DN are at least mid 50's and same with SG, and by that time it doesn't help that much. Soon after that you're raiding ToV/SE and getting (some people :sadf: ) marvelous/exquisite gems to upgrade with. I just finished my warrior's set last night in DN, actually. I got the visor, which I had been waiting for, for a long time (minus the breastplate, of course).

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but with the amount of wisdom you have Bormie, you only get 6 mana per 1 wis. With that being the case, the legs you are wearing are not as good as those quest legs as you would be getting 48 mana from them.

the quested legs are better IMO.

6 mana per 1 wis? I checked my shaman the other night and subtracted all his mana gear and just calculated his mana per wis point... he gets 10.6 at level 50. I'm gonna guess that at 65 Bormie gets a little more than that? :)

Yeah 50 mana instead of wis at 65 is kinda...bleh...

Up until 200 wisdom, you get 12 wisdom (or something like that). After 200 wisdom, you get only 6 mana per wisdom. That's why those pants are better.

Now, most of the regular armour will be gotten when the player is under 200 mana, so it's a non-issue (at that point in time).

Ah I see. Yeah forgot about mana "caps". :)

im only 36 but I would assume when you start raiding higher level mobs similiar to live I would think that resists would play a factor in raids such as dragons that used to a0e on live.

But, I agree wis would be nice.

Resists are somewhat important, but I don't have any on my Druid, and he seems to do fine. My warrior I have blue dragonscale gloves, gold mask thing (+5 all resists), and an 8 all resists ring. That's all I use and haven't had much troubles so far. Mind you, there's probably going to be some really hard stuff coming up that I'll need resists for.

Yeah no shit the quested legs are better, but they shouldn't just be better, they should be leaps and bounds better.

So adding, say +5 wisdom will make them leaps and bounds better? Also I was responding to the fact that comparing what he wears vs those, he would chose the current(lesser) pants which are not quite as good as the quested ones.

I consider an extra 36 mana useful, yes.
