Religious Augments

Danku

Dalayan Beginner
Are there any other religous augments in besides Enthann worshipper options? Am about ready to pledge to Jayla, but if I am unable to get an augment for (insert random time frame) then I hesitate to commit to Jayla.

You shouldn't base your one true god over an augment. Seeing as augs will be added to the other Gods in due time

Enthann being a pure badass is a whole nother story

It's not a bad idea to wait, considering that there aren't any new alignment changing quests and there aren't deity augments for most gods yet. Swearing to the god of your choice could very possibly have a negative effect on your character since the quests that modify alignment are few and far between, especially if you completed the main quest before the deity system was implemented.

I'm waiting until the whole system is implemented before irrevocably swearing myself to anyone.

So your dilemma is pledge and get nothing (aside from spec boost), being unimplemented, or dont pledge, and get nothing, being unsworn.

Really?

This is kind of a bit misleading and doesn't really go towards answering Danku's question; we all know that as soon as one pledges, there's no turning to another god. So why give up one's pledge so quickly when it's not clear when/if a God's plane and aug are going to be implemented? There are plenty of issues requiring the devs' attention, and even if some of these things get resolved they're going to be replaced by more issues. Unless the implementation of Jayla' stuff is at the top of the list of things to do right now, I think Danku is perfectly justified in asking whether or not it's worth it to pledge to Jayla. If he swears to Jayla, and there's no aug within the next couple of years, then what was the point in swearing to Jayla? If he holds back his pledge, the fact that he gets nothing isn't what matters -- what matters is he still has freedom in choosing a god, perhaps in choosing a god that will actually give him a tangible reward.

On the other hand, like Ryutakin says, it's just a single aug -- and there's plenty of content out there to keep one busy, god or no god. If you want tangible benefits from a god, then hold out on swearing...otherwise, stay in character and pledge to Jayla.

make sure you are aware the the augment is NOT the only thing your deity does for you.

When your alignment, Lawful/Chaotic/Neutral and Good/Evil/Neutral matches your deity's, you gain a bonus to your specializations (Energy /Defense, Focus/mind etc.), but when you are out of alignment you get a penalty, up to -20%.

If you chose the thug in the dream, or other evil paths on your way through Dalaya, swearing to a good or Neutral deity will actually make your character worse.

That's why I am waiting until there are AT LEAST more quests that adjust alignment, and maybe some more of the deity augs implemented before making that decision.

Another approach is to look wich alignment your toon currently has (and wich MQ faction he joined of course!) and pledge to a deity with a matching alignment. Specialization bonus now, Aug once its implemented.

Choices in SoD do not get undone just because things change. The augment is one part of a larger decision is all, the only part I had a question about. You should not assume that a single factor is all someone is examining. Thanks for the help though.

.........etc

I fully understand the whole faction benefit with the +/- 20% to the 10% specialization bonus and such etc. Thanks though, that is good info for those who may not already know it and read it here.

Why should I not assume you are after augments, and augments only?

Back on track though, my post remains valid. You seem to be asking yourself if you should pledge to jayla now and get nothing aside from spec boost until implementation, or remain unsworn so you can either 1 change your mind later, or 2 swear to jayla when the content is implemented. Either way... you are left with no augs, which is what you originally asked about... I still dont understand your dilemna, since either way you have to wait, however, if you're worried about changing your mind at a later date, then remain unsworn. Simple.

My predicament comes from which chaotic evil god to pledge to. Gradalsh may seem likethe obvious choice, but Tarhyl will probably have some damn awesome shit to offer in the future being that you exclude yourself from both a kickass raid zone and xp area.
I'm just waiting to see what
