How rare are relic drops, roughly, in Tier 2 and 3 content? Are there some Tier 2 creatures that do not have relic chances? I wanted to pull together a small 4-6 man overtier farming group.

Are Ikisith targets harder in general in their tier than their old world counterparts?

If anyone has any recommended targets to farm I'm all ears as well. Otherwise I will pick the targets that seem to have the most small group conducive mechanics and clears that arent too bad.
 
I've heard people claim T2 stuff drops relics but haven't seen it personally. I'd say the sweet spot is T4-7.
I would say your best bets for taking an overtier group is planar zones that people rarely go to. Plane of Torment/Air strike me as good places to do this. Maybe DHK/Misery but not 100% sure on those.

For relics in Iskith there are 2 mobs with little/no clear and relatively straightforward fights that come to mind. I can't confirm/deny if they drop relics but I feel they would.

That Vharsos Roc (first boss guy in plane of nightmare) can be done with one group and there is no trash that you have to clear.
 
First dragon in East DHK can drop relics and is easy to get to.

Archmage in CoD can drop relics, and is easy to get to and can be one grouped as well.
 
I have exclusively only killed low tier shit, have only ever seen 2 relics drop. I got one...yay, but yeah the drop rate blows
 
Thanks for all the information. I just didnt want to waste too much of my friends time getting help for my friend on relics and I can duo some of the tier 2 stuff if it drops relics rarely.

I'm all for easier T2-4 stuff! The archmage is a great idea, I do remember him being easy.
 
As far as I know, relics do not drop in Ikisith even from appropriate tier targets (if anyone has seen relics dropping in Ikisith please correct me). Misery has a terrible relic drop rate if memory serves. There are a couple targets in Stormkeep that drop relics and are 1 groupable iirc, but DHK dragons work too so it's down to faction preference. I remember plane of water having a really high relic drop rate, but it might be an annoying/tough zone to 6-man in. Torment and PoAir are good suggestions and I would also add the first named in entropy, the big fly, as a quick and easy relic dropper. Warp in darkwoods is also 1 groupable, but I'm not sure if he drops relics at all and if he does they're fairly rare. Had a relic and an ancient drop from an ED map the other night... don't recall if relics can come from VD maps as well, but may be worth looking into. Good luck!
 
I have seen relics drop off Tur'ruj trash (once). We were all like WTF, but it was confirmed that this was intentional.
 
Veteran Klindra - single pull it to the ent of zone, drops a relic every time, no trash required. tl;dr: gnome hax
