Reflect/Counterspell broken?

Currently, and since their inception, Counterspells and Reflects sometimes 'eat' a spell, not countering it, not reflecting it, but just eating it. There is not landed message, no resist message, just you cast the spell, waste your mana and...nothing. Could this be looked into?

It has been like this for a while. A long while. As long as I can remember. It's quite annoying! You get no message. No stun, no damage, nothing.

Yes, it is the aids. It eats malosini, tarhyl's fiery sundering, and tons of other stuff with great regularity.
