Ranger and Bard or Beastlord?

So, I haven't played EQ since right after PoP opened, and decided I'd come back and play having heard plenty of good things about how the server runs. For a main I'm going to level a ranger, being my favorite type of character to play by far. However, I'm going to two-box my way up, as I have two computers ready, and no real reason not to =) I leveled a Beastlord first to kind of get into the swing of it again, and having been playing a hunter in WoW forever, I felt it'd be an easier transition with my pet at hand still! I recently started leveling up my ranger finally, and have had him paired with a bard, because I don't have to focus on the bard as much really, and it helped me get used to two-boxing.

My question is, with my bard already paired with my ranger, but both of them approaching the level of my beastlord, should I switch out the bard for the beastlord, or keep the bard? I know that with the beastlord around, I'll have a tolerable duoing tank, with some slows, and the DPS from all characters, the bard is kinda fun to have with the songs and such that require very little attention to the class. It doesn't really matter to me, seeing as how I'll be using my ranger really, just with a friend =)

Thanks for any help in advance!

I 2 box a bard and bst, they re around 60 atm, and the bst pet tank very well , + bst have very nice spells for his pet, like haste, proc, regen .

My ranger is too low (51) to effectively group with my Beastlord (65). I think the biggest problem with that duo is the lack of heals. While my pet tanks well (especially with mage summoned weapons), if I am slowing, it takes a while for the pet to gain aggro and I often grab it back when I crit or the weapons procs. I would imagine that the ranger would keep aggro away from the pet.

Fear kiting might be interesting, but that may limit you to a couple of zones.
