I searched the forums and found only one topic about this, and it wasn't really relevant. So, I hope this hasn't been hashed and rehashed; and it if has been discussed and already decided on, I accept that. Moving on.

Could the third Ranger AA title be changed from Prowler? It doesn't seem very rangerly to me.

Various dictionaries could be quoted to say that 'prowling' involves sneaking around etc., and that is sort of what a Ranger does, but it really is more appropriate for a rogue. Not to mention that 'Prowler' has a negative connotation and Rangers are tradiationally Good Guys, or at least neutral. Compare it to the replacement for Forest Stalker as our 65 class name, Avenger. I always thought Forest Stalker was lame and Avenger makes sense given the history and lore of the game (Avenging the loss of Kelethin, RV, all the dead, etc.) But at the highest levels, the most experienced Avengers should bear the title Prowler?

Female Rangers get Guardian as their title. That's nice and it fits (better than Prowler).

Alternate suggestions:

Outrider (I always liked this one, but haven't met many others who do)
Warder (old tricks are the best tricks)
Hunter (I know, but it is still good)
Guardian (simple solutions are the best solutions)
Sentinel (I like that one)
Vanguard
Caretaker (probably more Druid-ish)
Master Scout (can they be more than one word? Just 'scout' isn't very pleasant)
Watcher
Warden (Ok, not really)

I'd also like to hear other Rangers' opinions on this, because I'd like to know if I'm alone in disliking Prowler.

The Ranger class/AA titles have changed countless times, I thought I had finally found one everyone was happy with, thus the :(

How about Harrier, or maybe Raptor (but few people remembers this means 'bird of prey' so probably not)?
 
There aren't many rangers with the Prowler title, I suspect, but if they all voted for that title then I guess I accede to their judgement.
 
Hunter and Sentinel sounds the best to me, but my favorite would be Avenger even though it's already used for level 65 rangers.

I think prowler is awsome too.

You could be stuck with "elder" All the noobs come and help me accross the street and say "THere there" alot.

Or sage ....... I enjoy a bit of sage with my roast lamb.
 
In a similar vein, enchanters third AA title is Sage, necromancers get that as their second AA title which makes us all unspecial ;(
