Random Client Crashes and Maps not working

Anyone else crashing randomly alot lately? it seems that i cant stay online for more than 15 mins without crashing,i used to be able to Dc for hours on end. oh well


Anyone else having problems trying to get ingame maps to work?Are they directly related to custom UIs or something? i use Nokui_Caster and have been since last year and slowly more and more maps werent available,now i cant get any maps to pop-up, after deleting and reinstalling a full set of Soemaps.zip, still nada

Any hints would be mucho appreciated

I've noticed the same problem also. This tendency started about a week ago or so; additionally, I seem to go LD much much more often now, and 99% of the time can't zone without being booted to the server selection screen. I'm on 56k with 3.0 datarate, and was doing very well until a week ago. The usual time that I play is 11pm-midnight PST, when there are ~40 ppl on.

P.S. This problem seems to disappear when I log on during daytime with ~120 ppl on. Kinda weird, but thats what I noticed.
EDIT: Maybe Im wrong, but the only time that maps work for me is when I bring them up while standing still. If im running and try to look at the map, I get a blank screen.
 
Did you try zooming the map out and taking off the height filter?
I know it sounds stupid... but I did the same thing. :p
 
I've been disconnecting to the char select screen a couple times per sitting recently. Haven't had any real problems (other than some lag here and there) at all until just this week.

Happened a little while ago, and now I get a blank server select screen when I try to get back on... maybe a new patch?
 
Yeah, it seems the server is down, which usually means that there's a new patch. Maybe it'll fix the disconnecting problem, hm?
