This last patch (fri/sat aprox) was there a change to caster mobs?

I have noticed that mobs I was soloing were now killing me in a mater of them chain casting the same spell 3 times.. Before they would actually attack the pet now they are sending in there pets to attack me Directly ignoring my pet and both caster and pet are attacking me both ignorring my pet altogether, even when it roots them in melee range of the pet.. Something seems a bit out of adjustment.

There may be a need to de tune Mid lvl mobs or the mana pool/spells that they can use/ ect. Is making lvling a very hard thing when you have to work off the xp debt 7-8 times over 3 days..

This all comes form the "Get out of Neth lair" and hunt in a dungon, and now mobs that were easly soloable are killing me faster than guild leaders in newport. Besides I was told by sevral people that First ruins was the place to be to get some gear and xp. ( I am needing both right now..)

I would love to find a group, but generally mages are not the first thing people are looking for. So please dont use that cop out. ( That and how many people have you seen LFG in the 30's lvl range)

I understand that this change was done for the players of higher end game, but ouch this means more farming light blue for xp rather than dark blues. Is there a happy Medium for the mobs and those of us that are lvling up?

Well, npc's pets seems to inherit (spelling) the aggro of their master, now if I tant a npc with a pet, and my clr nukes the pet, the pet still goes for war as war has more aggro on main than clr has on pet.
This is a new thing.

From what I can tell NPCs havent really changed as far as spells go, but there pets do seem to stick to me like glue now. I just think casters are to much to handle, even with chaing casting mana drain on wizard mobs or such, i can almost never drain there mana and i end up wasting all that mana in the end. Also, any mob that can stun seems to try to do it. They know exactly when I start to cast a spell and they stun me before I can finish. Wow that is frustrating. Anyways. I know that casters are weaker hitters and have a little less HP to make up for there outstanding AI but if you look at the whole picture: most of the casters can heal somehow, be it lifetap, or shaman, druid, ranger, beastlord, cleric(ouch!) heals and so you end up either dead or seriously depleted in HP and or mana ;(

Well, I just wanted to vent my caster hating ways here lol, sorry

Well, i know that when i was in FR yesterday we got a bedazzler add. Normally this isnt a problem, cause they drop like flies with their low hp (or it seems like it since we had 3 DPS chars  ) But yeah, soon as i start hitting this thing it instantly casts a DD spell, three times in a row, for 220+ DD every hit. Now, i'm a monk, so i only have like 1k hp, and if you add in the fact that i didnt start with 100% hp, and that we were ALREADY fighting a spectral haunter (another caster type) You get a lot of DPS on you. I got pwnt in under the casting time of a quick heal, which really seems unfair.. but it could be that i also don't like AoE spells (when cast on me) :p

If you don't like casters then go the The Deep and say hello to a Young Thought Horror, they bug out 99% of the times and cast their stun like 50 times / second, while still keep hitting you like crazy, after a while they stop bugging out, you just have to hope that you are alive long enough for it to stop, Wiz has looked into this matter ALOT of times but still they fark up.

Yea, I think caster NPCs are just insane.

they storm on themselves and don't get hurt. i don't know how fair this is because pcs cannot cast storms right on themselves and hope to survive, but it certainly sucks when a mage storms for 900 right on a group and the tank has to try to drag the mob out of the storm, but i suppose it adds to the challenge, but isn't RP correct imo
they caste DDs......seemingly fast, like, ice comet, and area DDs...I don't know much about wizards, but my best friend says some of those should take about 6 seconds to cast, and the npc just looks at you and boom about 1 second later you take alot of damage.

In elds for example I totally avoid the wizards...acutally i do that in any zone. Just because they are the same level as the melees but just ALOT harder, and not worth the mana/xp compared to the melees. Wiz made casters mean hehe

shamans are a horrid fight too lol

heh.

There is nothing more fun in this game than getting owned by 2 green enchanters in first ruins.

This is slightly off-topic, but sounds like a good spot to throw it in. When I was exping in paw I had to stop and go elsewhere. The bridge after the first door spawned four enchanters (two on each side.) Although I don't want to go for nerfing caster npc's, I was hoping something else might help...as I think even a well placed group would have a hard time with it, even two at once.

Any chance spawning can be coded to not allow more than a set amount of a certain class of npc's in a specific radius? 'Course this could already be there for all I know, as the bridge separated them a bit.

My Comments were based off of hunting in First ruins dropping in to the pit. Finding there a large % of mage mobs that are killiing me more than I manage to kill them. (IE there nukes landing for full, Chain casting bigest nuke on me, Pet not being able to hold agro when I have not sat down, cast any spells, even done anything other than target and tell pet to kill X mob) :censored:

A lot of it is bassed on the "if it is blue, I should be able to kill it over time" Theorry, but with the mob and it's pet ignoring my pet and both comeing after me makes life a bit of a hassel to find a place to hunt in.. Go figure.... :brow:

Fun to charm, though. :c00l:
