I have been playing a wizard for a little while now, and have a little question between 2 spells: Pillar Line vs. Al'Kabor line.
As I am lvl 54, I'll use the recent spells I've delt with:
Pillar of Frost: 325 mana hits 3 targets max for roughly 1000 dmg (with DI/Specialize) Lvl 51 3k dmg total (max)
Wrath of Al'kabor: 625 mana hits 3 targets for roughly 1100 dmg (with DI/specilize) lvl 49 3.3k dmg total (max)
Pillar of Lightning: 344 mana for 1100 dmg lvl 54 3.3k max
Inferno of Al'kabor: 775 mana for 1600 dmg lvl 53 4.8k max
My numbers are just rough (though accurate enough for the difference)
Seems that for the over 2x mana one ought to be able to do significantly more than <50% increase
any light shed on this would be appreciated. I may just not be using Al'kabor like it's meant to be, whatever, the case, I'd like to know
