Quick question regarding surnames

Just wondering if spaces and/or apostrophes acceptable?

Apostrophes can be put in via a GM. You have to petition. They will only do it if they deem the surname acceptable. Spaces I usually associate with titles. It can be done, but its typically saved for rare/special occasions.

You will not be allowed a space in your surname. Apostrophes aren't common either.
