When you are writing the message, then click SEND is there a screen to verify that it was sent? and if not would the validation be wrong

There is no confirmation. You click send and the message sends. If you want confirmation that your message was sent, go to "Profile" then "Personal Message Options" and check where it says "Save a copy of each Personal Message in my outbox by default."
