Now one would think that a Grandmaster monk GM who the boots belonged to before my possesion would have attained the best equipment for him in all his years of teaching. And it makes me wonder why these boots are so heavy?

And the ring also, with the majority of the rings out there weighing 0.1. Why would a ring with the word martial ( ie. Monk kungfu etc etc ) weigh 1.0?

Just curious and hoping for a change on these items.

Ever punch someone with a roll of quarters in your hand (+offense)? Martial Discipline.

martial - adj 1: (of persons) befitting a warrior; "a military bearing" [syn: soldierly, soldierlike, warriorlike] 2: suggesting war or military life [syn: warlike] 3: of or relating to the armed forces; "martial law" [syn: martial(a)]

I wouldn't connect martial discipline to that of some eastern cultural fighting.
 
I noticed that there's a +wis mod on the boots but they are monk only. Do monks have any use for wisdom that I don't know about?
