questions about rogue styles.

Okay, not often am I ever in a style other than /s 2 or /s 6 now, but there's 2 that have been bugging me for some time and one I'm actually considering to /bug. I'll just ask here instead!

First is, I think it's /s 7, enemy never behind rogue style. I just do not quite get this and what it's suppose to be used for in what situation. Thought it was some form of evade all attacks if there was an enemy behind me. What does this do??

Second, the avoid all offensive spells style /s 11. tbh, I can't remember the exact wording of the description, but I think it's that. Anyways, I've popped this on several occasions with AE mobs just for shits and giggles to see if I would get hit, and I still got hit. This was even on straight nuking casting mobs like cmal sorcerors mobs for example. I was hoping it would be able to be used on those pesky wyvern soldiers in DHK, poison/slow nonsense! Is this bugged or working correctly??

Lastly, the new rogue style is glorious!

I agree. The one with no enemy behind rogue is useless. Useful on monk, but not really for rogue.
I too generally only use /s 2 (speed), /s 5 (lower hate), /s 6 (increased dmg), and (I think) /s 7 (isn't style 7 the one where you damage caster mana?)

It's not a 100% avoid all offensive spells, it gives you a 25% chance to dodge offensive spells.

i have another question about the new style that i thought i had clear, but obviously i was wrong?

i remember in the balancing thread where someone asked what would happen if you had the chaotic stab aa and used /s 4, which was answered that it would be full backstab damage...this is where i'm a little confused

a) with chaotic stab you still have to wait for the openings until you get the full backstab damage?
b) or is it suppose to be with chaotic stab you can dish out full backstab damage while in /s 4 without having to wait for openings?

thanks

If you have the chaotic backstab AA, you can either
a) Wait for openings and get full backstab damage
b) Not wait for openings and get chaotic backstab damage (which is not full)
c) Play a bad rogue with a slasher in his main hand
d) Rage against the machine and quit SoD in a futile attempt to influence staff (preferably comes with threats to cut donations)
