Question reguarding the Slam skill

I have a troll beastlord, Slam is listed as a combat skill. but when i attempt to Slam nothing happens. My skill button is not even pressed in (Showing that it has been used and is refreshing). Is this something fixable or was it meant to be taken away from that particular class?
 
Slam is an ability like bash, must have either a shield or nothing equipped in offhand if I recall correctly. Could be that you have an offhand weapon?
 
your skill is capped at 1 since you are a large race and your class does not have the Bash skill. Because of this, it will fail a lot and be mostly worthless to you.
 
TY Tryfaen....But you are not correct...Please READ the post. Nothing happens when i press the slam button, nothing at all ty. But Danku might be correct.
 
I was having this same problem with the BASH skill. I read a post that said the BASH/SLAM range was shorter than the regular melee range. Try getting closer to your target when you slam.
 
Even if i were out of range the skill would still be spent when pressed in, i believe danku's accessment is correct here as to having a free hand or shield in secondary as when i try to use this skill i am dual weilding. Anyways thanks for the post :dance:
 
dude... danku is NOT right stop saying that he is. that is the whole point of the slam skill its a bash that doesnt require a shield. if it needed a shield then it would be completely !$#$@ pointless you would just use bash instead - for the classes that dont get bash slam will be useless beyond level 4 anyway. the whole point of the slam skill is that large races can bash WITHOUT a shield

Please note that I had already adressed the fact that slam works without a shield.
