Question regarding wiz faction

Alright, I have a 24 wiz high elf. I've always bought my spells at athica and somewhere between 18-21 I couldn't anymore. I tried Newport and Oggok with the same results. Someone suggested improving my faction, so I rose my Athica faction to amicable. The guild wiz's still /con dubiously. Obviously raising my Athica faction didn't help so I was wondering if you need to raise the wiz guild faction separately? I can't get any quests from wizard's because they all hate me so I wasn't sure how to approach it if that in fact was the case. I already tried to /petition but I was told it was a faction issue. (I'm currently trying to raise my Newport faction to see if it will result the same way). Anyone have any suggestions regarding this issue because no one online seems to know?
 
How comes you can't buy spells? I mean, if you could buy spells,, unless you fuxxored your faction with them somehow, you should still be able to buy... and I know no way to fuxxor your faction with wizards.
 
All three guilds are on the Arcane Academy faction, not individual city factions. Did you kill Arcane Academy NPCs?
 
Not that I am aware of... I don't even know what the Arcane Academy is. Are there any who are even able to be killed by someone between lvl 18-21? If that is the case, how would I increase my faction with the Arcane Academy?
 
Anyone know how to raise faction with arcane academy? I was hoping to do some of their quests =/

they only give faction with the burning eye, they aren't on the same faction as the ones in newport =/
 
i level'd a enchanter to lvl 4 on another account, and im just gonna keep giving myself illusion human each time i have a turn in heh
 
If I were you, I'd reroll.
24 isn't too hard to get to, and dragging this downside all the way up to 65 is going to be a pita.

I don't play a whole lot, and even though 24 might not be hard for some people, it has taken me playing for about 4 weeks to get there. Also, me and my roommates all made erudite casters so we looked good traveling around together, its not too bad, i just have to drag my enchanter who will never get past 4 with me around when i need to do a turn in for these quests... Any way you think they might add in that you gain faction with them when you complete a quest for them? I mean thats almost a standard thing for most every quest in the game, but these guys don't give any faction =/
 
Make sure this won't prevent you from doing quests such as the main quest (I am mostly thinking of the Paineel parts).

why would this prevent me from doing that? The faction I am having problems with is only because I am erudite, and they don't like erudites, and there is no way to raise their faction other than illusions, the MQ is not based on that caster guilds faction heh =)
