Question regarding Dryad faction in Heartlands.

Greetings!

I am terribly sorry to bother everyone, but I have a question regarding Tesia and the Dryad faction.

I am a Druid, lvl 49, and I must have missed that we got a Heartlands port. This was a huge mistake on my part, but I honestly didn't know that we got one. I recently just found out that we did, and was told to go to Tesia, who would give me a few quests to complete in order to get my Dryad faction up, whom I was told will sell me the spells.

My problem is that she will have nothing to do with me. When I first came to Heartlands on my druid, I never saw Tesia standing over there. I started walking around and found things on my own. I found the 3 factions and talked to them, and I decided to go with the Council of Innovation. I did later on discover Tesia, but she never would talk to me and I am still dubious to her and her Dryads.

I don't recall ever killing a Dryad, and I'm not sure if that would have affected my faction, but I honestly can't say I've ever killed one. And during the MQ, I even saved the Dryads daughter, who is also Tesia I think?

Anyways, I was wondering how I could raise the faction with them? Is this a bug, or am I just outta luck? I'm rather confused and would love any advice/help.

Well I didnt know either that we druid had a port to the Hearthland. I found that out when I was doing the main quest(part 4 I believe).

They told me to go talk to Tesia who wanted to have some information about the 3 other factions established in the heartlands.

At some point she tells you to go talk to her sister(can't remember her name, not the Great Dryad but the other one) which is located in the north of the Heartland(just where the druid ring is). I could then buy the ring and circle to the Heartlands. I don't recall doing anything other than killing robots that could explain why I can now buy the spells.

Yeah, that's part of the MQ. From what I understand that part is optional though. I choose a faction prior to even starting the MQ though. At the time, I had no idea the factions were part of the MQ and then once I started it I realized what was going on. That's when I found out that I should have talked to Tesia prior to choosing a faction to complete that optional quest. Since I never did that, there seems to be no way for me to raise my faction with the Dryads.

Not sure if Wiz's sticky had anything to do with my topic, but I hope not because I understand the quest is optional. I'm on part 5 of the MQ. My question was related to the Dryads faction in order to buy the Druid gate spells sold there. If Tesia's quest is optional, which I know it is, how am I supposed to buy my Druid port spells?

I don't consider it optional in a druid's case. I have done the Tesia part on 5 characters now just because I didn't know it was "optional." I assumed the heartlands terror of MQ started with Tesia and there was a script, tags, whatever put in place to enforce doing it..

Looking back on it, yeah I suppose it is optional, but it seems it's not if you're a druid and you want your heartlands ports. I remember a friend trying to get her heartlands ports and being annoyed that she needed to do MQ for them while wizards didn't need faction for their port. Shouldn't druids be indiff or ally to dryads to begin with? :what:
 
Aye. It doesn't sound very optional in our case, unless I totally missed something. I don't care that we need the faction to buy them, I just wanna have a way to get the faction up since I skipped the 'optional' part. :)

We have one of these at least every month, I decided to preempt any further ones.

So no, it has nothing to do with this thread. As to answer your question, the port is only available if you do Tesia's quest.
 
Aye, no worries. I knew you had these a lot, so I do understand the sticky, but I just wanted you to know that I knew it was optional and that my post was simply regarding the Druid port.

I ran into this problem as well - took blackscale before I hit the tesia part of the MQ, now cant get the druid portal spells...seems that I am at a loss?

please advise.
