question about some terms i encountered here.

I was just reading some other posts in some of the other topics and came across some replies by the dalayan veterans and administrators.

Just a couple of questions that I have, what are clickies?

what is reroll?

what is the game lottery and where is it held and when?

I saw a reference to something called soulbound illusion, what is that?, what is illusion clickie?

is this the right discussion for these questions?

A clickie is an item that is used primarily or only for an effect on it that casts a spell when it is clicked. Suck as an item that casts and illusion on you when you right click it. That would be an illusion clickie.

A reroll is a term meaning make a new character all together. It's generally credited to the pen and paper role playing game Dungeons and Dragons where all your character's stats were decided by rolling dice.

The in-game lottery happens occasionally when wiz and/or other high ups decide it would be fun to have one. Everyone on the server can buy a ticket in most major cities and you can win alot of cool things that way. They generally happen on a weekend; a friday or saturday evening.
 
Clicky items are items with a spell effect you can click to cast. These include Illusion effects to change how your character looks, their gender, etc. There are also clicky buff items to increase your characters stats. These items are usually obtained later in the game (60-65+), and some need to be worn in order to click them, others can be used from your inventory.


Rerolling is starting a new character.

The lotteries are rare events held by the staff in which players may purchase a ticket (with in game platinum, of course) in which different prizes are given out to lucky winners. Permanent races changes, titles, money, or sometimes a Lucky Charm of Power (a rare Charm slot item with very good stats).

A soulbound buff is a non-dispellable buff that persists through death, and can be cast by high level players with the right Alternate Advancement points. You can have a maximum of 5 Soulbound (or SB) buffs on your character at once.

Download this, and once you set it up type in '/server irc.dawntide.net' and then '/join #sod'
 
max of 5 sb buffs at once is news. Ive had at least 8 SB buffs cast on me before but i dont believe i died so... guess ima go test this cause im curious
 
Yea, 5 SB max is wrong. either prepare for a text change or some mega changes akin to the CotB issue
