Question about Ranger's AA - Foresight

Hello, ive talking with many high end rangers, and no one could say
if i have to activate the Foresight Alternative each time it pops, so i can avoid the next hit.

Or i should only press once and it will avoid at some chance.

Ive asked to the 2nd ranger on server, he says he parse only activating it once and it only avoided 2%. And that what he always do

So now is my question should i activate it every time (on same mob) or should i only activate it once?

As the description says, once you press it, it works for that particular mob until you use it again.

I parsed on the cyclops elders in the gorge. I had to split my results because they are 2 diff levels. The sample size was smaller than I would have liked but the results were consistent enough to provide a general ballpark figure.

On the higher level ones, the mob accuracy dropped from about 41.5% to 39.8% for a reducation of 1.7% in accuracy which was about 4% less dps. On the lower level mob, it went from 40% accuracy to about 37.5% which was 2.5% acc or 6.25% less dps. Combined results were about 2% less mob accuracy or 5% less dps. Not game breaking results, but definitely worth buying in the first 200 AAs if you tank much at all. And it is an activated, single target ability, it doesn't help much at all if you have 4-5 mobs on you at once.

And thank you wiz, but the discription doesnt say that.
"This ability allows the ranger to study the movements of one opponent and predict thei next attack. The ranger will automatically dodge the next attack from his chosen opponent(as i understood was activate the AA, and the next you will dodge and end of discussion). If the opponent strikes multiple times in the same round, only the first strike will be dodged (Doubles, triples or quads wont be dodged, ok) (...) "

2% in accuracy or even 5% less damage in this case, added to all the other defensive AAs, is quite good for only 4 points..
What would be interesting to see is how it works out on offtanking raidmobs, like 4-pull in PoAir. But a bit difficult to get enough fight data there :toot:

Agreed with Gea. 2% more avoidance adds up to Lightning Reflexes 5 and other factors. Dodging a whole hit can be a lot of damage, therefore the 5% less damage taken.
