question about custom UIs

i see that eqinterface is in the list of must haves. however i thought i read somewhere that custom UI components that work on live are not supported here and only those offered with the dl will work? am i wrong about this? im hoping that i can use the stuff from eqinterface but didnt want to try before i clarifed here

Stuff from EQInterface will work, but pieces of almost any up-to-date interface from there will either display improperly or just not display, due to EQTypes that aren't supported by the SoD client. With a little tweaking, most of the custom UI's will work fine.

cool thanks for the reply.
also after playing for a bit i found that i CANNOT change my hotbar keys. i cant add or remove any of the stuff that is in there. very frustrating and im hoping this is some kind of bug on my end . any information on this would be great
